Waiter / Waitress
Responsibilities
- Set up and clear tables, ensuring all restaurant inventory—including cutlery, table linens, napkins and other operational items—is maintained according to standards.
- Welcome guests, escort them to their tables, assist with food and beverage selection, take orders, serve guests, process payments and ensure a warm farewell.
- Perform restaurant service in accordance with menu specifications and hotel standards.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of all menu items, including their preparation and presentation.
- Possess a good understanding of the hotel’s wine selection and appropriate food pairings.
- Work closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure the proper presentation of food and beverages.
- Handle billing and cash transactions accurately.
- Contribute to increasing restaurant sales through professional service and product knowledge.
- Consistently promote the hotel’s quality standards through exceptional restaurant service.
- Report guest complaints and feedback regarding food quality, service and overall dining experience to the Restaurant Manager.
- Strictly comply with all hygiene regulations, sanitary standards and legislation relating to the service and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Adhere to HACCP procedures, pest control standards and food and beverage waste management procedures.
- Provide room service when required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor or other members of management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
- Good command of the English language.

- Strong team player.
- Good understanding of guest service processes and personalized service, with the ability to deliver the highest hotel standards within the Food & Beverage department.
- Good knowledge of food and beverages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed presentation skills.
- Ability to recognize and respond to situations that may lead to guest concerns.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime and shifts when required.
